Iran Saffron

Saffron is popularly known as red gold,The Flower of Health. Ninety-five percent of the world’s saffron comes from IRAN . It has traditionally been grown in Khorasan, an area (about the size of England) in the north-east of Iran, with ideal soil and climate conditions for the crop. Saffron is a valuable spice with origins in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. Saffron, also known as red gold, is the world's most expensive spice and is used mainly in aromatic cooking. It has also been used to help with stomach pain, digestive problems and even depression.


Also named Red Gold due to its unique properties. That used in Food, Ice Cream, Confectionary and Beauty and Pharmacy industries due to the thick paint it has. The most important properties are Antidepressants, Analgesic, Disinfectant, Carminative, Antitumor, Heart booster, Cholesterol and Blood Pressure reducer. The most famous kind of Saffron is produced in Khorasan and Ghaenat in Iran.


Negin Pushal Saffron has a large potential for discharging color and a higher volume. This type of saffron from the viewpoint of ratio of style is similar to ordinary Pushal saffron, but this type of saffron having varieties which is longer and thicker than ordinary saffron. The color power is about 250 usp or higher and is very extraordinary from the viewpoint of mass and beauty.
Sargol (or "Extra Cut" ) : has the lowest amount of floral waste and moisture, making it less voluminous. The net weight in each bag can be increased up to 2 kg. This type of saffron is completely pure and is with the cutted tissue of saffron without style. Color power of this type of saffron is very high (in Iranian saffron above 250 usp) and ,there is no breakage among the tissues.
Pushal or "Negin Mancha"gives the highest capability of discharging color and has a large volume.This type of saffron includes tissue. Together with 2-3 mm style. Color power of this type of saffron is about 220 usp.
Saffron Powder It is Saffron powder which can be prepared from any of above mentioned types and the type of saffron which is mentioned on it, should be matched to its specification. Its moisture must be less than 8%WT. It is a pure powder variant of red stigma of Crocus Sativus. This product is equipped for fast and easy usage by professional chefs as well as culinary fanciers in traditional practices, and in desserts (ice-creams, yoghurt shakes, sauces and syrups).
Bunches This type of saffron includes all tissues or filaments of saffron and depends upon its varieties, condition of harvesting and cultivating for example soil, the red section can be higher than the yellow section.
